About Me

Greetings!

I am Abigail Levy and music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Endless memories of growing up surrounded by music; however, no one in my family actually had the capability to play an instrument or even sing.
I knew that I wanted music to be a big part of my life, even when I was very young, leading me to join my school's orchestra at the age of 8 when I was being taught to play the viola.
As I continued in the orchestra though, I realized I would never be a truly good player, not because I was necessarily bad, but because I could never convince myself to practice often enough to actually become something more than just one of the better players solely because I had a natural aptitude for music. I decided to join the choir in my 4th grade year, and played both the viola and participated in the choir throughout elementary school.
When the decision came about which music to continue in middle school with, I decided on joining the choir over orchestra, since I would now not have time for both, and I knew I would never be motivated enough to practice my instrument if I had one. Other than a quick talent show when I was 12, I have not played the viola since, although I do commonly pretend to play one when I listen to music.
I was in my middle school choir in all three years of middle school, but I was never truly satisfied with what I was doing. It was only when I joined music technology that I realized what I needed was a way to combine music with my creativity and create something that was completely my own.
Ever since, I have fallen in love with creating music on the computer and being able to take a little tune or melody thats been pooping into my head and transform it into a full song. Back when I played viola, I could never motivate myself enough to practice, since I was always playing the same thing over and over again. But now I can create something new while still indulging my need for music.
